David Ciccarelli ('00, wearing Google Glass) co-founded Voices.com in 2004 and is truly one of OIART's great business success stories. Starting with a small recording studio in downtown London, he and wife Stephanie were quick to recognize the potential of the internet for creative collaboration. Together they founded Voices.com as a way to virtually connect voice talent with clients outside the boundaries of a studio facility. They have since become the leading online marketplace for voice over talent worldwide, a crown jewel of London's tech sector, and one of North America's fastest growing Internet brands and digital media companies.
Last night they were at the London Business Achievement Awards where they were nominated for Excellence in Human Resources. They have been named one of Canada's fastest growing companies by Profit 50 four out of the past five years and were the recipients of the London Chamber of Commerce 2012 Business of the Year Award and 2013 Innovation Award. David has been named one of London's Top 20 Under 40 by Business London magazine, and also held the distinction of being Canada's first Google Glass explorer. He lectures at OIART annually, sharing his business and entrepreneurial wisdom with the class.
